The Solomons draw on an unusually powerful combination of talents. Alissa grew up in a real estate family, and has long understood the investment value and emotional worth of property. As an adult, engaged in a globe-trotting career as an animator for Disney, top commercial producers and video game companies, she enjoyed buying property herself.
Nonetheless, as a seasoned insider, she often felt frustrated by the process, especially the lack of communication. "Buying a home is not like buying something over the counter," she says. "Seeing that a transaction plays out smoothly and efficiently with the client fully involved is an art." With her personal background and formidable business skills, Alissa knew she could do it better. A new direction began to emerge.
When Clinton, a Trinidad-born Canadian, met his wife nearly two decades ago, he was a respected film editor, post production expert, producer/director of commercials, and professor at the USC School of Cinema. A world traveler who's fluent in Spanish and conversant in Italian and French, he's creative, visual and charismatic. Given his eye for architecture, gift for marketing and easy warmth with people, he was a natural for the real estate field.
"I like helping people own something whose value will grow, building relationships and providing the level of service I'd want for myself," Clinton says. "I also enjoy using my insight on what makes a home unique to showcase the property effectively."
A few years after Alissa exchanged her animation career for one in real estate, Clinton joined her in the business. Their partnership has proven supremely rewarding for clients from Santa Monica to Los Feliz. Drawing on a combined 35-plus years of experience and extensive training in communications psychology, finance, coaching and persuasive negotiation, the Solomons represent properties ranging from condos in Beverly Hills to multimillion dollar estates in the Hollywood Hills, Hancock Park and Bel Air. They frequently work with international buyers and devoted repeat clients.
Alissa and Clinton are also involved in the Art Deco Society, the Historical Society of Los Angeles, the Wilshire Vista Community, and El Rodeo School in Beverly Hills.
